Our
Story

It started in 2005 at one of the founders 50th Birthday when the concept of the Knights SMC was born. One of the founders, a former NZ SAS Soldier residing in Australia was an associate member of the Vietnam Veterans MC. Following numrous attempts, he could never become a full member of the VVMC and there were no other military clubs on the East Coast at that time whereas their constitution allowed for foreign serving members.  He and the other 2 founders, one who was a former 1%er, loved and needed their bike and brotherhood lifestyle. Some years later, the name Knights SMC was agreed and the club formed for members that had served or were current in miltary or security operations internationally.

It was a few years later, that more military clubs established on the East Coast. The UMC NSW also became established. The Knights SMC decided to open its membership to non military and security personnel and make application to the UMC NSW to be formally recognised and accepted as a club. Our direction was to support mens mental health and various charities. In February 2013 following several UMC NSW meetings, Knights SMC recieved a unanimous vote by all clubs at the table and was sanctioned by the UMC NSW.

Knights SMC has a supportive and close brotherhood in accordance with its original constitution with approved chapters throughout the Australian states of NSW and Victoria.

Knights SMC Australia remains as an independant club, however supports the biker community as a whole and its charitable functions.
